The Botanical Gardens
Ahhhh! The splendor of the great outdoors! Surrounding the conservatory/theatre complex are over a dozen acres of beautifully landscaped grounds through which to meander. Native gardens with brilliantly hued flowers will lure indigenous butterflies to their petals. Within, there are also formal, stately gardens, reminiscent of those that might encircle a royal English manor, replete with sparkling fountains and reflecting pools.
At every turn a scenic wonder awaits. Amidst these serenely beautiful surroundings, the gardens are a living, breathing refuge of exploration for families, students and researchers, further illuminating the harmonious interrelationship of plants and insects.
Beyond the prolific beauty of the gardens,
certain to rival the most acclaimed in the world, is gained insight into the realm of the invertebrates. It is attained through the outdoor tours, gardening seminars, hands-on demonstrations, an interactive Discovery Garden and Children's Activity Area, and posted information . . . all of which educate and inform; and perhaps may inspire you to start a butterfly or wildlife habitat right in your own backyard!
Half the fun is making memories at Butterfly Kingdom. The other half is remembering them later.
